On July 31, 2010, Soka Gakkai youth representatives from Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Okinawa held their 19th youth peace summit at the Soka Gakkai Hiroshima Ikeda Peace Hall in Hiroshima City, commemorating the 65th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
After remarks from Soka Gakkai Youth Peace Conference Chair Kenji Shiratsuchi, representatives from Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Okinawa reported on their recent peace activities.
Soka Gakkai youth in Okinawa have been involved in conducting surveys of people’s attitudes toward the Battle of Okinawa, as well as sponsoring peace forums. Young members in Nagasaki have hosted the "From a Culture of Violence
On July 10, some 16,000 SGI-USA members and guests attended the first festival held at the Long Beach Arena, California. The second festival was held on July 25 at Temple University's Liacouras Center, Philadelphia, and was attended by some 11,700.
Both events included explosive performances ranging from the Fife and Drum Corps, Taiko Group, Brass Band, Gymnastics and Cheer and Hip-Hop Group, among many others.

On July 17, 2010, twenty-eight SGI-Australia (SGIA) youth leaders of the newly formed SGIA Peace Culture Education Department (PCE) joined twenty-six Muslim counterparts from La Trobe University Center for Dialogue Young Muslim Leadership Program for an interfaith exchange titled "Celebrating the Dignity of Life." This was the third such dialogue held between the Young Muslim Leadership Program and SGIA.
The day's activities included Muslim youth representatives from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand giving presentations on the Young Muslim Leadership Program and their personal challenges and determinations as leaders. From June 10-13, 2010, some 150 participated in SGI-Switzerland's Summer Training Course held at the SGI-European Center in Trets, located in the south of France.
The training course focused on the value of raising and encouraging capable leaders for the future, incorporating the concept of a shared spirit of mentor and disciple. SGI-Europe Vice Women's Chair Betty Mori spoke about SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's lecture on Nichiren's writing, "The Three Kinds of Treasures" (WND, p. 848).

From June 11-20, 2010, a painting exhibition containing work from the Lijian River School, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, was shown at the SGI-Hong Kong Culture Center. The show was co-organized and sponsored by the Guangxi Art Institute, Lijian Painting Style Promotion Association and SGI-Hong Kong.
The paintings depict scenes of Lijian River in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Approximately 4,000 viewed the exhibition.

LA#4 Region and Riverside Region youth had a beach day on August 15th at Corona Del Mar. We were able to have many youth come out, to enjoy the sun and food. Seems like everyone had a great time! Thank you for all the support~!
